Buehler DuoMet 2 and SurfMet I Belt Surfacers make grinding metallographic or spectrographic samples easy and efficient. Available in dual or single belt units, the DuoMet 2 and SurfMet I, respectively, feature 2 and 3 horsepower (373 and 249W), heavy-duty, fused motors for superior durability and performance. Replaceable stainless steel wear plates are designed to maximize machine life. Separate belt flushing and coolant controls guarantee adequate removal of particulate matter from the grinding belt, for efficient cutting action, while providing critical specimen cooling.The stainless steel sink with faucet allows the convenience of quickly grinding and washing the specimen in one location; this feature is particularly useful between coarse and fine grinding steps and for production applications.
The DuoMet 2 and SurfMet I Belt Surfacers are offered as tabletop models or floor models mounted on sturdy Tech-met tables with chemical-resistant laminate tops.The optional recirculating system utilizes a corrosion inhibiting lubricant that extends machine life, provides faster, cleaner grinding, and collects swarf for environmentally correct disposal.The optional VacuMet Vacuum Dust Collection System provides safe, dry grinding operation* and dust collection.
