Rare orig framed atlas thread dimensions chart 4 lathe
Very nice - Original custom framed Atlas chart. Extremely well made wooden frame with thick plywood backboard and a glass front over an original Atlas print. This is very solidly made, appears to have been made by a professional carpenter. It measures 17" x 21 3/4" x 7/8" thick and weighs over 7 pounds. Would be terrific for the workshop wall.
This is an Atlas chart marked "60 Degree V-Type Thread Dimensions with Sizes of Tap Drill and Clearance Drill". Tables include:
* National Coarse Thread Series (formerly US Standard)
* Fractional Sizes (National Special Thread Series)
* Machine Screw Sizes (National Special Thread Series)
* Depth and Double Depth of NAT-L Form Threads
* Straight Pipe Threads (American Standard Form)
* National Fine Thread Series (Formerly S.A.E.)
* International Standard - Metric
* Diameters of Numbered Drills
* Diameters of Letters Drills
Lower center of chart is marked "These dimension tables eliminate much tedious calculation. Accurate lathe work requires frequent reference to technical data such as the above tables. Always check and carefully recheck all dimensions before starting a thread cutting operation. This chart, one of a series prepared in the interest of promoting expert machine operation, is published by Technical Service, Atlas Press Company, Kalamazoo, Michigan, U.S.A. Additional copies will be mailed to any point in the United States upon receiving 15 cents in coin or stamps".
Chart is in very fine order, highly legible. Photograph does show some discoloring on print, however, this is not actually on the print, it is a photographic reflection.
