Like the CP-3800, this entry level model features the industry s largest display and full Ethernet communications using industry-standard protocols. While the CP-3800 gas chromatograph is flexible enough to support complex configurations, the CP-3380 is a simple, single or dual channel designed primarily for ease-of-use, and it s priced accordingly.
In addition, the CP-3380 gas chromatograph can be automated with the CP-8400 or CP-8200 Autosampler for high levels of productivity and is fully compatible with the powerful Windows -based Star Chromatography Workstation.

The 1079 PTV represents the latest evolution in Varian's injector technology - extending the benefits of Varian's patented Septum-equipped Programmable Injector (SPI), to include split and splitless injection.
Representing the ultimate Universal Capillary Injector, the 1079 PTV delivers improved chromatographic performance and increased GC up-time, is compatible with the full range of open tubular columns, and is capable of isothermal or temperature programmed operation.
Five modes of operation: split, splitless, temperature-ramped splitless, Large Volume Injection (LVI), and cold on-column; allow maximum injector flexibility.

The 1079 PTV is designed with ease-of-use in mind - whether making an injection, replacing an insert, or changing a column. The unique injector switch starts the GC and data system automatically, eliminating the need to press a start key, and improving retention time reproducibility.
The easy-to-access septum support captures the insert and ferrule, simplifying replacement. The optional "quick-connect" kit - which includes a fixture for measuring column insertion depths - makes column replacement easier. Choosing Varian's Advanced Electronic Flow Control System eliminates the need for external flow meters, streamlining setup and operation.
The 1079 PTV injector flow path has been designed to maximize recovery of a wide range of analytes in either the split or splitless mode. The optional Low Internal Volume, high-performance insert minimizes sample contact with the inlet surface, and provides cold on-column injector performance. All inserts are deactivated to Varian's strict specifications.
