Allen Bradley 1747-L542 SLC 5/04 processors manufactured prior to April 2002 draw 200 mA @ 24V dc. All new 1747-L542 controllers have 0 mA draw current @ 24V dc. The absolute maximum number of I/O for 1747-L542 processors only reflects the I/O addressing capability. It does not take into account the amount of memory that may be required for a ladder-logic program to monitor and control the I/O. The practical ratio of memory per I/O is totally dependant upon your specific application.
