The Nellcor reflectance oxygen sensor, model RS-10 is indicated for use when continuous noninvasive arterial oxygen saturation and pulse rate monitoring are required for patients weighing greater than 40 kg. The RS-10 is reusable (up to six applications) provided the double sided adhesive is replaced after each use. To provide more reliable saturation measurement in a high-motion or brightly lit environment, one of the enclosed headbands may be used to maintain correct placement of the sensor on the skin and reduce ambient light.
