sandifords 20m multiband delta loop antenna.20/17/15/12/10m.72ft total wire. inc 4:1 balun. pl259 connection.well sealed against the british weather. loops are great antennas reduced noise, upto 3db gain,can be acheived with a 1wavelength loop is less likely to be affected by nearby objects unlike other antennas,low heights they still perform well. a loop antenna has 360 deg coverage {so does a vertical we know but this is a fullwave antenna that dont need ground radials} if mounted horizontal in a loft,[square shape] a dipole horizontal facing n/s will rx/tx, e/w more than n/s the same with an inverted v .configuring the loop.you could.17.9ft aprox per side on a square loop. rectangle horizontal section 23.9ft ,11.9ft vertical section.20.7ft aprox on a delta.you get the idea.plus its a multiband antenna.loops have been around for years and do perform very well even in the loft,under the eves,hung from trees.etc etc.may require matching unit {a.t.u}.please note the colour of the radiating wire may be black or grey,thankyou.
