Magnetek gpd 506 A017 5 hp (low voltage-220 ) w/extras

THIS IS A MOTOR CONTROL BOUGHT NEW FOR MY ALBUS/HAPFO LATHE AND NEVER INSTALLED.
I have one of these units installed on my Imperial Lathe which is an American made, hydraulic tracing machine with 20" X 84" capacity. The GPD enables me to control the speed, direction of rotation, and auto on/off, using limit switches and proximity sensors. I've added a Red Lion LNXC microprocessor to my setup to allow preprogrammed functions and routines, such as allowing me to automate the indexing and complete run of parts with any number of flutes and/or spirals, reset to start and other functions. Some of the pieces I turn are huge and the only way to turn them is at pretty slow revs: 500 or less, sometimes as low as 50 RPM to knock off the corners and turn to a balanced round. Some of the smaller pieces need to be turned and sanded at a very high rate of speed...the GPD allows me to run from 5 RPM to twice the motor rated RPM's (3400 X 2 = 6800!) and anything in between! The great thing about the GPD is that even at the slowest revs I don't sacrifice power as torque is constant at any speed.
TIP: I've added a stackpole switch to the output which allows me to use the GPD to control motors that would never run at the same time: the main lathe motor, a high power cutterhead used for spiraling and other detail work, and a handheld flexible shaft for sanding contours on spiral columns and balusters. Both for turning and detailing (fluting/spiraling) speeds as well as sander speed control the fine tuning of the GPD is really invaluable to avoid the speed zones where harmonic oscillation sets up, which can be different for each size/shape of work piece. The stackpole switch also has an outlet installed that can service remote machines, such as my stationary air bag sander. This set up works great for me but of course your results may vary.
If you think this might work for you but aren't sure, I'd be happy to be your FREE consultant. I have considerable experience with machine modification and enhancement and actually enjoy making things work better than designed.
This is a motor control that can do tricks the average user hasn't even considered!
* INPUT: Three Phase, 200/208/220/230 VAC +10%/-15% 50/60 Hz +/-5%
* OUTPUT: Three Phase, VOLTAGE: 0-230VAC; FREQUENCY: 0-400Hz
* 2ND DIGITAL OPERATOR CONTROL (FOR REMOTE CONTROL)*
* INSTALLATION/OPERATION MANUAL, loose leaf binder
* 204 PAGE TECHNICAL MANUAL, loose leaf binder
* The extra digital control is for operation remote from the drive control. In my configuration the 506 was to be mounted in our existing wall hung enclosure and the 2nd digital control was to be mounted at the machine's control station.
I haven't been able to locate the original box but this item will be superbly packaged (and insured by me) for safe arrival to you.
