Vintage bernz o matic fire detector
Up for sale is a vintage Bernz O Matic Model No. FD136 Fire Detector. This is a fire detector that responds to a heat producing fire. When the temperature of the surrounding air reaches a specific temperature the unit will actuate and the horn will warn of a fire. The unit fits in the case shown in the pictures (which hangs on the wall). When it is full, the green shows in the hole (see picture). Once the unit actuates and is empty, a red note shows in the hole which says "replace unit". As far as I can tell the unit is still full (because the green shows in the window).
The unit appears to be in good condition. There is some minor rusting. The bottle and horn have some scratches (probably from being placed in the box). The label is intact on the bottle. The label is a little brown from age. The bottle is a little dirty as well. The label on the back of the box is intact as well. The label is brown from age. There is water spotting around the edges.
