If you are building a robotic project or home automation, you will find this low cost opto sensor very useful.
This is an ON-OFF optical sensor. Its simplicity makes it ideal for your projects. It makes Infra Red Sensing particularly simple.
It can be used as standalone sensor such as a visitor chime, or connect to a microcontroller for easy interfacing.
In robotic, you may use it for RobotEye or line tracer, unlike normal IR diode and detector, you need not generate any carrier frequency, just power it up and check for the IO status.
This PnP optical sensor is for both stanalone and MCU interface.
Infra-red is a non visible light with a wavelength of 950nm. It is widely use in remote control, it is insensitive to black object.
This module generates a modulated IR signal which transmit through the air, when an object is detected the IR signal will be reflected back to receiver and its output is set to "high".
