These nails have a thick plastic cap on them which I am sure would work for many purposes other than intended, such as fencing or other applications where you need a built in thick plastic washer. The nails are 2-1/2" long and 1 box is enough for 10 sheets. I think they would work good for plastic cap nails for hainging foam insulation....the caps may stick out more but they would work well.
