NEWPORT 846HP ELECTRONIC SHUTTER 845P SERIES
The 846HP Bistable Electronic Shutter employs a novel, patented design which requires no holding voltage or current to maintain the shutter in either the open or closed positions in normal operation. Since the shutter has only one moving part, the blade, it provides highly reliable performance and a service life of over 1 million operations. Pulses from 5 to 30 V drive the shutter. A positive pulse is used to open, and a negative pulse to close. Transition times are dependent on pulse amplitude and can be less than 3 msec. The 5.6 mm aperture accommodates laser beams with up to 5 W CW incident power.
