MAGICARD ULTRASHIELD OVERLAMINATING STATION

The Magicard laminating station applies a tough clear polyester overlaminate onto PVC ID cards. The material is applied to the face of the printed PVC card using a heated roller system.
The UltraShield polyester film is immensely tough, surviving several thousand swipes through a Magnetic stripe reader and many years of use in Driver s license type applications. Compared to the basic clear acrylic overcoat which is applied by dye-sub printers directly from the dye ribbon, the UltraShield material is over 25 times thicker, made from a more robust polyester material. The standard UltraShield overlaminate film is clear, but films with special embedded hologram like OVD images are also available for enhanced security.
