The pictures provided depict an easy and self-explanatory step by step process of how to use this durable corn dog holder and dropper. The main unit is a 16" round perforated non stick cooking grade corn dog holder. Affixed firmly to the underside are 10 high density polyethylene blocks which serve as a non-heat conducting base for which 10 heavy gauge tension clamps are firmly attached. The clamps are heat resistant plastic coated for easy removal of cooked dogs. Simply skewer the dogs, press a clamp open, insert the exposed end of dog skewer, and let go. Repeat this process for up to ten dogs. Each clamp holds a skewered dog at a precisely spaced distance from other clamped skewers, thusly allowing for quick dip from batter to oil, no clumped together dogs. The dog holder has convenient raised handles as part of it's structure, enabling quick and safe removal from the oil pot. The photos show the actual restaurant process of our corn dog preparation. You can see that we have elected to use a 5 gallon bucket as our batter receptacle, although the unit will work nicely even for home preparation,i.e. hand dipped and hung one by one. The stock pot pictured, is the one that we recommend-a 24 quart stainless steel unit with a 3ply bottom specific to even heat distribution. 5 gallons of 375 degree peanut oil is to be approached only with great respect and extreme precautionary measures...one of them being the use of quality cookware only. You will notice that we have featured a high temp thermometer as well. A must have to maintain the ideal cooking temperature of 375 degrees. The 28" high yellow stand is a sturdy painted metal unit that serves perfect for holding the dog clamper lid both before dipping and after cooking.
