This is a swivel-type hook to be used on a small crane hoist, boom or winch. I dont know much about the hook other than it is military surplus.
the swivel on top of the hook has a 1 1/4" hole.
there is no brand name on the hook, but the following is casted in the steel:
814-8T-8 (im guessing this is an 8 ton hook)
this hook appears to be new, its never been used. The paint is a little scratched up from storage.
