Vintage french shop mannequin 1920S stockman, paris
This is a stunning complete vintage French Stockman mannequin with original cloth covering.
In excellent condition it measures approx 60" tall (adjustable) with a 36" (93cm) chest, 29" waist and 40" hips (101cm). It has a turned wood stand the colour and style of which dates it to around 1920.
It has its original brass key to fix the central column in place after adjusting the height. It also has its original turned wood top and arm hole covers. The turned wood top is also very indicative of the age of this piece with its geometric Art Deco styling.
The bottom of the torso is stamped "Stockman, Paris" confirming its quality and heritage. There is one tear in the shoulder which has been caused by the central pole being placed badly once.
A lovely period piece of chic decoration on its own or dressed appropriately it is ideal for displaying bustiers, corsets or period costume.
