EXTRA LONG WIRES, SUITABLE FOR DOWN SLEEVE OPERATION
Option1, Microphone/PTT clipped near the lapel or to the vest.
One wire (wire length 110cm) leaves the radio and runs to a microphone push-to talk unit; the earpiece wire attaches at the microphone/push to talk unit. The Microphone/PTT should be clipped near the lapel, in law enforcement applications usually to the vest. The second wire (wire length 95cm + eartube) runs under the shoulder to the back of the neck and should be clipped to the collar. It is best to run the wires under the uniform clothing to give suspect less to grab hold of.
Option2, Microphone/PTT passed down inside sleeve and clipped to the cuff.
