This is new and complete kit. Include Probe, Pin Grabber tip (witches hat), Compensation Tool, Ground Lead, and Lead Identifier Tabs.
When set to 10X the probe sets up a 10 to 1 voltage divider with the 1 Mega ohm input impedance of your scope, that looks to the device under test as a 10 Mega ohm load. Thus the scope sees one tenth of the input voltage w/100 MHz Probe bandwidth. Set to 1X the scope/probe now presents a 1 Mega ohm load, but the scope sees the full input voltage, bandwidth in the mode is something around 7 MHz.
This probe does not have a readout pin on the bnc, I think that s what they called it, so you will have to tell your scope if the probe is set to 10X or 1X, for the scope to display the appropriate amplitudes based on your vertical settings.
