HIPPOBAG is the cost-effective and hassle free alternative to the traditional skip that makes the collection and disposal of rubbish simpler and cheaper than ever before!
It can also be used for many other uses at home such as a boot liner to take your rubbish/hedge trimmings to the tip yourself. It is similar to a 1 ton bag you might get sand delivered in from the builders merchants but in this case is much larger and made from a much stronger/tougher material.
Simply purchase MEGABAG, fill it with general building, DIY, garden or household rubbish and then call or book your collection online and Hippo will come and take it away!
The MEGABAG (1.5 cubic yards) holds 1.5 tonnes and is large and durable enough for those bigger, bulkier items such as doors and kitchen units. It will even take an entire bathroom suite! The MEGABAG collection is currently 69.50. Delivered flat packed this bag opens out to 180 x 90 x 70cm.
When you are ready to start using your HIPPOBAG , place it within 4 metres (13 feet) of a public highway and away from any walls, trees, parked cars, overhead wires etc The highway must be at least 3.65 metres (12 feet) wide for the lorry to gain access.
Simply fold down the sides of the HIPPOBAG (making it more rigid) and start to fill it with rubbish. Once you ve started, don t attempt to move it you could damage the bag, or worse, yourself. Please refer to the label attached to the HIPPOBAG for full positioning and filling instructions.
MEGABAG collection is currently 69.50 (significantly cheaper than a traditional skip). Collection charges are per bag with a 6 discount for your second and each subsequent bag collected at the same time from the same location.
HIPPOWASTE will aim to collect your filled HIPPOBAG within 5 working days. You don t even need to be present when we visit. What s more, you can rest assured that your Duty of Care obligations are actively supported as we recycle up to 80% of waste collected and dispose of the remainder in a responsible manner.
