Unitrol has since 1971 only manufactured automotive grade chillers which come complete with features that are extra cost or not available on their line of commercial grade chillers. And yet the cost to you is about the same. And when you add the cost they charge as options for these features, Unitrol comes out at a lower cost.
These features are supplied at no extra cost to handle continuous operation at full capacity under the harshest of industrial conditions:
Automatic water refill system to keep tank full even with leaks outside chiller (not on model 8000)
Backflow safety kit to prevent water overflow in tank when system is shut off. Kit includes zero pressure water solenoid valve, and check valve (5-ton and larger chillers).
Pressure bypass water system to keep flow through evaporator above minimum requirements. Allows operation at all outside water flow rates (except model 8000 mini-chiller)
Washable air intake filter to keep condenser clean and maintain efficiency
Cleanable filter/strainer on water return prevents contaminants from reducing the efficiency of the cooling evaporator and also prolongs the life of the water pump. This component can be flushed without draining or turning off the chiller.
Stainless Steel brazed plate evaporators, mounted outside of water tank. Because of the flow rate through this evaporator the system is self-cleaning Washable filter on air intake eliminates the need to continuously clean condenser coils. This is a major advantage when it comes time for service of the chiller.

Non-metallic water tank with non-metallic and brass fittings.
Electronic digital temperature controller. These controllers are staged for maximum efficiency on 15-ton chiller
Low water flow safety system to protect refrigeration components stops the compressor if a fault occurs that could freeze the system
All water passage fittings are non-ferrous to prevent internal rust accumulation
Low pressure and High Freon safety system
Fault indicator lights for Freon and Low Water Flow faults
Ability to service or inspect chiller hot with all panels removed
