Smokejumper belt-Black with black buckle
These are the sometimes illusive and hard to find Smokejumper belt, worn by smokejumper, hotshots, helitack and engine crews. They are almost a must for any wildland firefighter if you are digging line, jumping fires in Alaska or working an urban interface assignment. The belt works well in Forest Service pants, urban interface pants, or in your cargo pants around town.
The belt is 50"(127cm) long and 1 3/4" wide , so these are one size fits most, just cut off what you don't need with a heated knife. The belt is made up of a single layer of resin treated mil-spec parachute harness webbing which is rated to 6000lbs and the buckle is rated to 2500lbs, so you can rest assured it can hold your pants up without a slip. Each belt is sewn with a 3 inch Box "X" stitch sewn with #138 FF nylon bonded thread.
