This photo is anti smoking. In the photo, a man, with a tattered suitcase and a cigarette in his own hand, points to a No Smoking sign attached to the wall. A sexy woman smokes on a nearby chair, her legs crossed so her bloomers and stockings are exposed. She seems to be, at the very least, a free spirit or worse yet, naughty. She looks at the cigarette in the gentleman's hand. Besides being hilarious, the photo captures the very different rules that applied to men and women at the end of the nineteenth century.
