Macchia automatic grooving machine woodworking milling
The 500/ASC Automatic grooving machine is the result of Macchia s long experience in the field of wood milling machines.
In addition to being easy to operate and maintain, this machine can be used in completely automatic and mass production working cycles.
The work done by this machine consists of making grooves in turned wooden pieces by means of two opposed arms , each of which is fitted with two cutters allowing two pieces to be worked simultaneously within a half turn of the spindle.
Air cylinders hold the arms against the template to be copied. A pressure regulator enables different pressures to be applied according to the work piece type.
The cutter holding arms can also be fitted with straight profile cutters which make it possible to level surfaces so as to obtain straight, conical or shaped conical pieces.
The cutter carriage is fitted with a hydraulic cylinder which enables uniform speed control through special regulators, thus ensuring a smooth finish of the work piece.
