NEW IM3224HD DESKTOP CNC ROUTER - NSK 3 AXIS G540 PACKAGE
The IM Series of desktop CNC routers is an evolution in affordable CNC equipment. The new IM series features dual supported 5/8" ball screws on all axes for superior precision, rigidity, and durability. This feature is combined with a solid steel and aluminum frame construction, precision HIWIN linear guides, Gecko series motor drivers , and more to create a truly industrial machine at an affordable price.
The NSK linear guides are an upgrade from our standard HIWIN 15mm rail, offered at an absolutely incredible price. The X and Y axes on this machine are fit with high capacity 20MM NSK linear guides, while the Z axis uses high capacity 15mm guides. This upgrade further increases load capacities, rigidity, and bearing wear life, on an already stout router package.

IM SERIES ROUTERS VS. THE COMPETITION
NSK Linear Rails: NSK linear rails are designed and built to exacting specifications unmatched by competing technology. Aside from box ways, linear rails are the premier choice for high performance machine construction. They provide precision, load capacity, compactness, and efficiency that cannot be matched by cheaper alternatives.
Linear Rod, V-rails, etc: Though all of these "technologies" cannot be put into the same class with each other, they all fall short of the performance that linear rails provide. Many of these technologies are prone to poor accuracy, deflection, and low load capacities. Some manufacturers choose these products because they are cheaper. For us, they just don't cut it.
Rockford Ball Screws: Ball screws are the premier choice for linear motion applications, especially in circumstances of less than 6 feet of travel. They provide high efficiency (>90%), high load carrying, high accuracy, high durability, and high speed capabilities. The IM series of routers uses a minimum 5/8" ball screw to provide the load capacities and durability for even the highest demand applications.
Rack and Pinion, ACME, etc: There are very few instances where any of these technologies can outmatch a high quality ball screw, and length is one of them. When shopping for a machine, beware of these technologies as many of them suffer from low accuracy, high maintenance, low load capacity, high backlash, and many more shortcomings. Also beware of undersized and low quality ball screws used by some manufacturers.
Gecko Series Drives: Geckodrive produces the finest quality motor drivers in their class. They use the highest quality components and are made right here in the United States. Not to mention, they are backed by some of the best support staff in the industry.
Other Motor Drives: Many manufactures use drives imported from foreign countries that use low quality, underrated components that are almost guaranteed to give out. You'll likely have to replace them with a Gecko sooner or later! Again, manufacturers use them because they are cheap.
1.5HP Colombo RV55 Spindle: The Colombo RV55 spindle adds a new level of performance to the IM series routers. Colombo is world renown for its quality construction and performance. This spindle provides a true 1.5hp and is driven by a matching Variable Frequency Drive under full Mach 3 control. Offering near zero runout (<.0004"), this spindle allows for fine detail work as well as high performance, high speed cutting capabilities. Speed range from 1,000 to 18,000 RPM.
3HP Colombo RV73 Spindle: The Colombo RV73 spindle adds a new level of performance to the IM series routers. Colombo is world renown for its quality construction and performance. This spindle provides a true 3hp (2.2KW) and is driven by a matching Variable Frequency Drive under full Mach 3 control. Offering near zero runout (<.0004"), this spindle allows for fine detail work as well as high performance, high speed cutting capabilities. Speed range from 1,000 to 24,000 RPM. Constructed with high precision dual angular contact bearings at the tool end.
