Adult Bovine Serum (ABS) is commonly used to supplement basal cell culture media for the growth and proliferation of many cell types in the animal vaccine and human health care industry. ABS is collected from animals that are 12 months or older. ABS contains 2X the protein found in FBS and is often used as a cost-effective substitute for FBS.
