In line float and thermostatic trap in excellent condition, new in box, item taken out of box for photos. Float and thermostatic steam traps are commonly used on process applications where they function to drain condensate from a heat exchanger. These types of traps respond quickly to changing loads, and they have a quiet, modulating action. Rising water level inside the trap causes the float to rise. This pulls the valve plug away from the seat, opening the valve. After the condensate has been drained away, the float falls and valve plug is guided into the seat to close the valve. An integral thermostat functions to vent air and other non-condensable gases from the system.
