This is a very nice comb-bound photocopy of the Operator and service manual for the Hallicrafters SX-115 receiver. It contains the complete technical aspcs, including the Block Diagram, Frequency Coverage (80 to 10 Meter Ham bands), parts list, and a nice big 11x14" schematic diagram consisting of two 11x17" facing fold-outs. Section two covers installation. Section three explains the "Function Of Operating Controls". Section Four explains how to operate the receiver for each type of transmission. Section five contains detailed alignment instructions.Section six, "Service Data", has instructions for re-stringing the dial pointer mechanism, a troubleshooting chart, a voltage chart showing the correct voltage to ground for every pin of every tube, and a resistance chart showing the correct resistance to ground for every pin of every tube. I like to use a resistance chart because I can check out a radio for shorts and other problems without powering it up. Imagine how difficult it would be to get a replacement IF can for this radio if you fired it up and fried one because of a short.
