3 big snap-on ferrite core for ½" cable - stops rfi-emi

(3) Large Snap-On Ferrite Cores / Beads
Very Effective and Easy-to-Use EMI / RFI Suppressors
Fits cables up to 1/2" diameter like RG-8, LMR-400 etc.
Fixed price is for one lot of (3) pieces.
I've used ferrite cores to eliminate EMI / RFI problems in the HF, VHF and UHF spectrum. Examples: Severe noise on shortwave radios from unfiltered equipment, transmitters triggering electronic light switches and false tripping of home alarm system. These things really work! I even used one of my smaller cores to eliminate the TV interference from my corded electric shaver with a brush type DC motor.
Installation is quick. Just snap-lock over any coax, audio, AC or DC power cable up to 1/2" dia. Handy for larger sizes of coax that the smaller cores don't fit. But smaller cables, like RG-58/59 can be looped with multiple turns for exponential gains in EMI / RFI attenuation.
This is the most massive and largest ID size we have. Cores can be removed from the plastic shell and taped together to save space. Check our other listings for 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" ID cores.
Preventive Maintenance A must for field operations when setting up in unfamiliar indoor or outdoor locations. Reduce the risk of a nearby mobile CB, HAM or other transmitter interfering with your PA, Music or Video equipment.
* HAM Antenna Coax - Decouple that feed line to stop it from acting as a radial.
* Mobile Transceivers - on DC power lines to reduce ignition interference.
* Suppress RFI emissions from electronically controlled variable speed motors.
* Put the brakes on that noisy Fuel Pump interference.
* Filter radio signals out of your telephone lines.
* Reduce RF Interference to your Stereo, TV, VCR and DVD player.
* Eliminate false alarms to your burglar alarm caused by RF.
* Block RFI emissions from electronic equipment such as Digital Scales.
* Stop those SPOOKY 'touch lamps' from switching on/off unexpectedly.

These cores work at EITHER END of the noise path.
* At the SOURCE, attenuates EMI / RFI from transmitters or electrical noise from equipment (computers, motors, fluorescent lights) before it gets into the house wiring through the power cord. Once the noise makes it to the house wiring, it can travel through the wiring directly to you radio, TV, computer etc. But that's not all! The wiring will also act as an antenna and 'broadcast' interference to nearby battery operated equipment too.
* At the RECEIVER, attenuates electrical noise generated by all kinds of AC powered equipment traveling through the house wiring before it gets to your radio, TV, computer, etc. And remember, the wiring can act as an antenna and pickup radiated RF Interference from nearby sources such as mobile radios. Close placement to the radio, TV, etc., may be best in that situation.
* BI-DIRECTIONAL protection: Ferrite cores can provide bi-directional protection too. Some equipment is both susceptible to RFI while at the same time, produces it's own RFI. 'Touch lamps' are a good example. They are strong RFI generators when ON and are susceptible to being turned on or off by strong RF fields. Ferrite cores installed close to the lamp base will solve both problems.
* Attenuate EMI / RFI or electrical noise picked up by long speaker wires and microphone/audio cables. Multiple cores spaced along long lines, can alter the resonant frequency (detune) of the cables as well as more evenly distribute the attenuation for better performance.
Generally, placement should be as close to the equipment as possible for maximum attenuation, but as experienced RF technicians know, sometimes, a better location can be determined experimentally.
Other core sizes available for 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" cables.
