Diesel engine particulate filter regen warning system

This kit fits Sterling A and L Series and Acterra modles with engines MBE 4000, 900, Detroit 60 Series and Cummins 2150. Minor interface harness modifications will allow installation in other chassis using the listed engines. 2008 year model trucks equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters will, depending on application, require a parked driver commanded re-generation. Trucks used in vocational applications may have crews working outside the truck and not be able to see the dash lamp warning. If the re-generation is not performed within a short time frame, sometimes in as little as 15 minutes, the engine may de-rate and in some cases shut down. In most instances the truck must be towed to an authorized facility for a PC commanded regeneration, at the owners expense. Towing and down time considered this event could cost many hundreds of dollars. Don t let your driver be uninformed. TFB Global s DPF Alert System will sound an alarm of your choice when the DPF is in need of a parked re-generation. Using our proprietary circuit design, the interface module is tied to the engine control processor. When a parked regeneration event is needed, as commanded by the CPC (DDEC 6) or the Cummins ECU (CM2150) the DPF Alert Module will activate an auxiliary horn to alert the driver of needed action. In order to have a unique audio alert, we supply a flasher in the auxiliary horn trigger circuit. The kit includes the Interface Control Module, Interface Wiring Harness, Override Switch, an assortment of terminal and splice connectors, a heavy-duty flasher and a horn as well as the document envelope. Installation should require about 1.2 hour when using the recommended materials and process. The control module has a limited 24-month warranty.
